I've been really into old Harryhausen flicks lately, and decided I wanted to make my own Medusa. When trying to figure out how to approach it, I found pictures of albino animals, among them snakes, and thought it would be cool to have both Medusa and her snakes share the same coloration and texture. Plus I knew that in Chinese culture white signifies death, and I just thought that would be a cool to make her skin incredibly pale, almost like ivory or something. It's still a little bit too Hussar-esque, but I'm trying to go in a new direction a little, and right now I'm just trying things out.

Interesting to combine Greek with Chinese! I like the ol' Harryhausen film "Jason and the Argonauts"!

crazy, when i drew one a gorgon my snakes heads didn't look so realistic @@
ok, if they remake clash of the titans, this redesign of medusa gets my vote to be in the flick, excellent pic, great spooky take on the classic Greek villianous!
