ok, so i said i was going to paint this, but i've never really done a complete piece digitally painted that's portfolio-worthy, and figured the drawing for this was a good candidate. anyway, if you don't know the story already, this piece is about the vanity of america, and how it has caused many young people to become apathetic to the problems of the world. because of this, we will still be dealing with the crap of society today tomorrow
it is so great to see that someone has the courage to criticize their home country and the things that they have learned. plus the peace itself is technically very well done!
i really like this piece. both in concept and execution. i love how all the space beyond the head and maybe collar becaumes pattern and negative space. vaguely kilmt-esque. i'm really impressed
love this
just fascinating
love the mixed media feel about it,
some mixed media pieces just look like drawings, but the style of this, the face, the flag, the background
all appear so different from each other that it is fascinating to see them all together
wonderful work!

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it. Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
